Exam
Room
All our patients receive a thorough exam, which includes a
complete examination of the ears, nose, and throat, gums and teeth for dental
disease, palpation of the internal organs, and heart check. A large portion of
the doctor's time is spent with you and your pet in consultation, answering
questions and concerns. If lab work is required, Cedar Grove Animal Hospital is
affiliated with a certified laboratory that can provide results usually within
24 hours.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is an invaluable tool in
assisting in the diagnosis of various diseases including, but not limited to,
kidney and bladder disease, heart disease, liver problems, and diseases of
other major organs. Often Ultrasound is used in conjunction with x-ray in
making the correct diagnosis, ultrasound being the definitive soft-tissue
diagnostic tool. Should a second opinion be required, Cedar Grove Animal
Hospital has the capability of connecting via Internet with specialists
throughout North America who see the same images Dr. Rebele sees, in real-time.
The most recently released state-of-the-art Ultrasound equipment is in our
hospital - the Biosound Esaote from Caris.

Dental
Services
Healthy teeth are an important aspect of your pet's health.
Imagine yourself at 35 years old and never having been to the dentist. Our
pet's teeth decay the same way ours do. Regular dental examinations and
prophylactic care is essential in the holistic medical care of your pet.
Gingivitis and other dental diseases are the main portal of entry for bacteria
into the blood stream and is a major contributor to heart, liver, and kidney
disease. We perform routine dental procedures including cleaning, polishing,
and fluoride treatment and any necessary extractions using isofluorane
anesthesia. Preventative dental care is much more economical for our clients
than waiting for major dental problems to surface.

Dietary
Issues
Proper nutrition for our patients is of utmost importance to
us. Obesity can also be life-threatening for your pets, and could cause a
variety of health problems. Ask the doctor about what would be best for your
pet, considering his/her age, physical activity, and medical
condition.

Flea
Control
Living in an area that is relatively mild most of the time,
there are many years when it is not cold enough to kill all the flea eggs. As a
result, our pets ideally should be on flea control year round. Our staff would
be happy to explain to you the various products available at our hospital. No
appointment with the doctor is necessary to purchase flea control products.
